La Boquería is squarely centered in the middle of the beaten tourist track of Barcelona. And, honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s a reason this place is popular with locals and tourists alike. If you’ve been reading or watching the blog for a while, you know I love Spanish food markets and while you’re traveling in Spain, La Boquería market really is a must-see site, even if all you do is browse. But, I bet you can’t walk out without picking up a piece of fruit, or buying some fresh fruit juice. The fresh smells, the activity, the noise and, of course, all the color is a seductive assault on the senses. And, I couldn’t resist showing off the inside of the market in this week’s Suh-Weet shot.

I was just there about 2 months ago. Tip: Get the iced fruit juice from the middle or back of the market. They’re usually more expensive towards the front.
I was at this lovely market less than a week ago – it was very vibrant! Great photo

Thanks for the comments. Definitely one of my favorite places in Barcelona.
Thanks for the tip Gerard. I didn’t realize that. Will make use of that on my next trip.
